A man accused of shooting his son was apprehended after being on the run since Monday. Sheriff's officials say Gilbert "Tick" Helton, 56, of Kettle Island, was arrested at his residence on Kettle Island Branch Road. The shooting occurred around 8:34 p.m. Monday. Dispatch received a call that a male had been shot and needed ambulance services.
Police arrested a man overnight who crashed his vehicle into a store. happened around 2 a.m. at the Game Stop on East Reynolds Road. The store's glass door was shattered.
A Louisville man is facing theft charges after police say he broke into his neighbor's home. Guns, computer equipment, medications, even food from the pantry, according to police, was all taken. Police and detectives with LMPD's 7th Division served a search warrant at the home in the 9000 block of Ranger Road on Monday evening.
A man is expected to survive after a shooting Tuesday in Old Louisville. Police responded to a coin laundry in the 400 Block of West Oak Street just before 7 p.m. The 40-year-old victim was shot multiple times and taken to University Hospital.

A person is in critical condition after being hit by a car. Louisville Metro police said it happened around 3 p.m. at Bardstown Road and Hurstbourne Parkway. Two suspects were attempting to dine and dash from a local restaurant when the victim tried to stop them.
Newport Police are investigating a homicide. The victim was found shot around 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the 300 block of Lindsey Street near Isabella Street.
Homicide investigation underway in Middletown after man dies from injuries
Eight people were injured when an ambulance and SUV collided in Pendleton County Saturday. The crash happened on U.S. 27 just south of Falmouth around 1:30 p.m. There were six people in the SUV at the time of the crash. The driver and her five children in that car were all injured.
Louisville police are investigating a deadly double shooting. Officials said one of the victims was dropped off at the Okolona fire station on Preston Highway just after midnight
LMPD also investigating a homicide in the 1500 block of South Pope Lick Road. When officers arrived on scene, they found a man suffering from blunt-force trauma.

A woman who led police on a chase told arresting officers that she was Mother Mary en route to pick up Baby Jesus and had permission from God to speed. Fox affiliate WDRB-TV cites an arrest report saying a Kentucky trooper attempted to pull over 52-year-old Connie Allen, of Tennessee, on Saturday, but she ignored him. A high-speed chase ensued.
Authorities have released the name of a man who was murdered in the Russell neighborhood. The victim was 44-year-old Wayne Robertson, according to Deputy Coroner Michael Haag. Robertson was found dead early Sunday morning on Elliott Avenue, near South 24th Street.
The death of a woman found in a Leslie Drive driveway in Lexington is being treated as a possible homicide, the Fayette County coroner told WKYT, bringing to five the number of slayings since Feb. 4.
