Still an active scene from last night's shootout on Dixie Highway, where a man accused of shooting at a TN police officer was killed. KSP is handling the investigation. Officers here tell they have area blocked off to preserve the crime scene.
KSP has sent an update, stating that this was a trooper-involved shooting which left the suspect dead. The Critical Incident Response Team is investigating since it did involve policein this case
